Governors
What are Governors?
Governors are like a Board of Directors. They make decisions about how the school is run and meet at least once a term, with several sub-committees to cover such aspects as financial affairs, the school curriculum, health and safety and staffing etc.
Governors are appointed to:
- Ensure the Early Years Foundation Stage and National Curriculum is taught
- Set standards of behaviour
- Interview and select staff
- Decide how the school budget is spent
The Governors are always pleased to discuss any matter relating to the school with parents at any time. Please contact the Clerk to Governors at the school for further information.
The Parent Governor is elected by the parents and brings the views of the parents to the Governing Body but speaks and acts as an individual.
